GS1 barcode decode Function module issue

We are facing an issue with LE_EAN128_DECODE standard Function module .

standard gs1 barcode uses modulo 13 calculation method to decode check digit where as standard sap uses modulo 10 .

standard function module LE_EAN128_DECODE uses modulo 10 method to calculate check digit .

Is there a way to decode gs1 barccode in standard sap .

Is there a standard function module in sap which uses modulo 13 method to decode gs1 barcodes in sap.

Is there something we need to do in the SPRO configuration settings to enable this.

error creating a web service client from th WSDL document (soamanager)

Hello everyone,

we have generate with the wizard a web-service using the function module BAPI_CONTROL_RECIPE_GET_LIST. Then we have generated with SOAMANAGER the end point. As test, we have used a web-service explorer of Eclispe and we can retrieve without problems the data.

Then we wanted to generate the web-servcie client with Eclipse Galileo (3.5.0) wiith the server GlassFish v2.1 Java EE 5 we first installed the WSIT jars, in order to support WS-RM protocol
We have started the generation based on the document obtainend within the soamanager under the "Open WSDL document for selected binding" link.

We have tried it several times and we always got the following error is:

IWAB0399E Error in generating Java from WSDL: WSDLException (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portType/wsp:Policy):

faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Encountered unexpected element 'Policy'.: <br>    WSDLException (at /wsdl:definitions/wsdl:portType/wsp:Policy): faultCode=INVALID_WSDL: Encountered unexpected element 'Policy'.:

Do you know if we took the right document in order to generate the web-service client? Do we need to have some specifics settings in the configurations of th endpoint? (provider security, transport settings, etc...?)

If needed, or if someone would be nice enough to try to generate it on its side, I can post here the whole wsdl document, but due to its length, I first wait your comments.

Thanks a lot in advance for your feed-back

best regards
Pierre-André

addtions:

maybe this should have been better posted within the forum Service-Oriented Architecture than standards?

I forgot to mention the following threads, which seems to me to be somehow in this direction. But I do not get really how I could use them, or how is is releated.

GS1-128 Barcodes

It looks like someone else posted this same question, but did not get a response.

Does SAP support GS1-128 barcodes using the AI (application identifiers)?

We have a requirement from a customer to begin sending shipping documents with a single barcode. The barcode will include several different fields.  Each field will be preceded by its application identifier.

What I am asking is can SAP construct this barcode for us?  Or do we have to create the string ourselves?

hello

i hope this is the right category to post my problem

i want to use the service "customerCRMChangeRequestConfirmation_In"

but i get this error message: "Error getting response; java.net SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out.

on my search to fix this problem i found the SAP Note 826419.

with following advice:

===========================================================================================

Version NW 7.10

  • Using NetWeaver Administrator

o For standard Web service deployable proxy:

            1.  Open SAP NetWeaver Administrator in a browser: http:// "Web Services Administration".

            3.  Choose "Proxy Definitions by Name" and click "GO".

            4.  Select the proxy you want to configure.

            5.  Choose the "Configuration" tab.

            6.  Choose the "Logical Ports" tab.

            7.  Select the logical port you want to configure and choose "Edit".

            8. Choose the "Transport Settings" tab.

            9. Edit the "Max wait-time for HTTP response (in milliseconds)" field.

            10. Click "Save" to save the settings.

============================================================================================

but in my Transport Settings are no "May wait-Time for HTTP response-field"

what is the problem? i have an SAP CRM IDES System with Netweaver 7.1

do I need to install an sp?

I also found this solution for my read time out problem:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28WSR%29Problems-P01

but this solution with "Visual Administrator" is for java stack, right?

thank you for your help!

kind regards

GLN functionality enhancements, per GS1 recommendations & SAP customers

$
0
0

After attending the GS1 conference in Chicago two weeks ago and presenting the existing GLN functionality to GS1 staff and several U.S. Healthcare customers, the following requirements were identified and submitted via a Business Case:

Although we provide basic GLN functionality in standard ERP and IS-H, meeting customer requirements for the GLN Sunrise will require immediate enhancements in standard ERP (and IS-H?) and development in SRM.   In the future, improved GLN integration among ERP, SRM, and AII will be required.

Required Enhancements u2013 by October 2010 (to allow sufficient time to implement, test, and correct)

1. GLN Table (transaction EANGLN): support additional business objects for GLNs

    - Storage Location (V_T001L-LGORT, with referenced address in table ADDR1_DATA), for Ship-to  Locations u2013 the same as

IS-H prototype function, which recognized the need for this level u2013 at a lower-level plant hierarchy.  Storage location GLNs

need to override the plant GLN as the Ship-to location.

    - Deliver-to-Locations (overrides Plant and supplements Ship-to Locations) -- optional, but desirable; will be required in near-

future; this would be 4th N1 segment on the 850 IDoc

    - Warehouse (V_T3001-LGNUM)-- linked to plant/Storage Location u2013 overrides plant

    - Multiple Vendor GLNs u2013 two Vendor GLNs (Order-from and Pay-to) are required, per GS1 standards, with Return-to as a

     recommended third GLN.

o This means that the current single Vendor GLN (maintained in the Vendor Master as three concatenated fields) is not

          sufficient.

    - Customer: Manufacturers, distributors, GPOs, 3PLs, and other supply-side customers require support of multiple Customer

locations for Customer u2013 Buyer, Ship-to, Deliver-to, and Bill-to u2013 since the PO will contain all four GLNs

o Same for Sales Orders, Order Acknowledgements, ASNs, invoices, and other supplier-outbound documents.

o This means that the current single Customer GLN (maintained in the Customer Master as three concatenated fields) is not

            sufficient

2. SRM and Supplier Self-Service (both ERP and SRM) support for GLNs, including SRM ability to replicate GLNs from ERP

(EANGLN and/or VENDORGLN and/or CUSTGLN) into similar SRM tables that are accessed by SRM procurement, receipt,

supplier self-service, invoicing, and sourcing functions

3. The program populates IDocs only; we need to add the GLN on numerous transactions

    - ERP

        o Create, Change Display PO (ME21N, ME22N, ME23N)

o Goods Receipt  (MIGO and MB1A)

o Maintain Service Entry Sheet (ML81N)

        o Print/Transmit Service Entry Sheet (ML83)

        o PO Confirmation/Acknowledgement

        o Monitor Order Acknowledgements (ME92F)

        o Create, Change, Display Inbound Delivery (VL31N, 32N, 33N)

o Create, Change, Display Outbound Delivery with ref to Sales Order (VL01N, VL02N, VL03N)

o Create , Change, Display, Cancel Invoice  (MIRO, MIR4, MR8M)

o Evaluated Receipt Settlement -- ERS (MRRL)

o Consignment and  Pipeline Settlement  (MRKO)

        o Address Maintenance (MEAN)

        o Export Service Data (ML86)

        o Import Service Data (ML87)

3. SRM

        o Process Purchase Order (BBP_POC)

o Enter Purchase Order Response (BBPPCO02)

o Process Purchase Order Response (BBPPCO01)

        o Confirm Goods/Services (BBPCF02)

        o Confirm Goods/Services  Centrally (BBP_CF03)

        o Edit Invoice/Credit Memo(BBPIV02)

        o Edit Invoice/Credit Memo Centrally (BBPIV03)

        o Edit Internal Addresses (BBPADDRINTC)

o Edit Addresses (BBPADDRINVT) u2013 for business partners

        o Edit Addresses (BBPADDREXT)

        o Manage Business Partners (BBPMAININT)

4. SRM-generated 850 IDoc

5. Printouts and reports (PO Print and FAX, plus others to be identified in Functional Specification)

6. Sales Order: Multiple Customer GLNs (for ship-tos and deliver-tos -- from PO)

7. Terminology u2013 both GS1 and several customers do not like the terms EAN, UCC, and ILN, and urge us to use GS1-standard

terms "GLN" and "GTIN."  Perhaps the use of GuiXT will suffice.

For 2011, additional enhancements will be required

1042 Configuration in SAP

My company has never implemented 1042 withholding tax and now we have request to do that.  They also want me to turn the extended withholding tax on so we can post multiple tax codes to one invoice.  I have ran the conversion and I have multiple errors.  Does anyone have a list of activities and configuration that needs to be completed when turning this extended withholding tax on.

Thank you,

Rhonda

hello

i hope this is the right category to post my problem

i want to use the service "customerCRMChangeRequestConfirmation_In"

but i get this error message: "Error getting response; java.net SocketTimeoutException: Read timed out.

on my search to fix this problem i found the SAP Note 826419.

with following advice:

===========================================================================================

Version NW 7.10

  • Using NetWeaver Administrator

o For standard Web service deployable proxy:

            1.  Open SAP NetWeaver Administrator in a browser: http:// "Web Services Administration".

            3.  Choose "Proxy Definitions by Name" and click "GO".

            4.  Select the proxy you want to configure.

            5.  Choose the "Configuration" tab.

            6.  Choose the "Logical Ports" tab.

            7.  Select the logical port you want to configure and choose "Edit".

            8. Choose the "Transport Settings" tab.

            9. Edit the "Max wait-time for HTTP response (in milliseconds)" field.

            10. Click "Save" to save the settings.

============================================================================================

but in my Transport Settings are no "May wait-Time for HTTP response-field"

what is the problem? i have an SAP CRM IDES System with Netweaver 7.1

do I need to install an sp?

I also found this solution for my read time out problem:

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28WSR%29Problems-P01

but this solution with "Visual Administrator" is for java stack, right?

thank you for your help!

kind regards

Hi All,

we get user requirement for User Authentication to SAP ECC (ABAP) Stack, we tried setting User Synchronization with LDAP tcode until we can create user automatically from LDAP server

the problem are :

  1. we are confuse, how to mapping attribute between SAP and LDAP about "password"
  2. status of password is deactivate at SU01
  3. can we logon to SAP with LDAP password automatically by runtime?

as far we read many article, LDAP is very limited function, this tcode only to User Synchronization without Password.

please help
